Discovery Days 2025 Presenter: Jeanine

Jeanine Holowatuik is an avid aurora chaser, astrophotographer and astronomy lover. She is the owner of Northern Escape Photography and is a guide, writer and photographer based in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, Canada. As an advocate for dark skies, Jeanine is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and an advocate for Dark Sky International.

Jeanine was recently featured by Explore Magazine, her work is currently published on the cover of the 2025 RASC calendar and will be featured twice in the 2026 by Canadian Geographic. She promotes dark sky awareness and astro tourism through her work and presentations. Jeanine leads aurora science and aurora photography workshops and loves to share her passion for the night sky.
