James Van Leeuwen is a student of the deep natural history of southwest Alberta, going back to the earliest history of the Earth and the broader cosmos. Formally educated in astrophysics, James is a lifelong resident of Alberta's southern headwaters and works part-time in the summer months as an interpretive trail guide in Waterton Lakes National Park.
